There is a nice looking Series I on eBay (http://cgi.ebay.com/1983-alembic-bass-series-1_W0QQitemZ300343017876QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item45edd6c194&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14).  Wish there were more pictures but the one that's there shows a very nice top on this bass.

Wow, it must really look nice in person.
the seller would be wise to post more pics,
that would get folks really excited.
