Your post sent me looking.  From wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perth%2C_Western_Australia).

In 1933, Western Australia voted in a referendum to leave the Australian Federation, with a majority of two to one in favour of secession.  However, an election held shortly before the referendum had turned out the incumbent pro-independence government, replacing it with a government which did not support the independence movement. Respecting the result of the referendum, the new government nonetheless petitioned the Agent General of the United Kingdom for independence, where the request was simply ignored.

So maybe it's still an open issue.

C'mon Dave surely you know better than to post
political messages on this forum ;)

Anyhow the F-1X was passed in at $700.00 No bidders.

The F-2B has a little over 3 days to go and up to
$51.00 It is wired for 110V so OK for USA.

I imagine, as is mostly the case, a flurry of activity in the dying minutes. I hate that!
