The July 2003 COTM,  The Bat Bass (http://cgi.ebay.com/Alembic-Stanley-Clark-4-string-BAT-BASS-STUNNING-/190444555785?pt=AU_Musical_Instruments_Instruments&hash=item2c57614e09), is currently on ebay being sold out of Australia.  A most unusual Alembic.

I really like the design concept of the top .  it would also be interesting with different   wood combinations .

Yeah lovely look but a bit visually too loud for me. An attractive wood combination would be quilted maple top laminate with a Cocobolo bat insert.

this has always been my favorite custom (although i seem to be saying that a lot lately...)  
when i had my custom built i seriously considered having the same design done with ebony and cocobolo.
if it were in the states, i'd jump on it.
