Hey...this one sounded fishy right off the bat...it's from London...Series II, coco bolo, 5-string....only listed as a 24 hour auction, you had to email the dude for his auction rules before you could bid, bid was at 200...with a BIN at 2K...I emailed him for his rules and asked for the serial number....mysteriously, the auction was removed within minutes....did anyone else see this? No trace of the auction, strange...heads up or maybe someone got a deal on a SII
-
A frequent occurrence on eBay. The email only option is the instant giveaway and totally against eBay regulations.

I'm sure I saw one recently for a series II bass this new year and asked a question too about scale length of the bass and then next time I was on-line it was gone.
In fact the photo looked very similar to one I had seen on here.
The bass was stood up on a stand in front of a fireplace.
I was confused and thought I was dreaming so said nothing.

This one is a recurring scam. There is also one from the same person for a 62 Jazz Bass so be careful out there.

The philanthrophist seller is up again.
I just wonder how he ended up with that acceptable feedback rating...
-
The feedback rating your seeing is the feedback for the seller whose account was hijacked by the scammer.
They probably responded to a scam email that asked them to sign in.The other day my friend who has his email posted in his auctions received an email with a link to sign in to his paypal account. The return email address was ....Paypall.com.

Ah, I see. Thanks for the explanation.
Just reported the Auction to Ebay, see what happens.
Caveat emptor...

Auction is removed.
