Title: Series II Triple Omega Maple Burl 4-String - eBay
Post by: stout71 on October 05, 2011, 05:40:09 PM
eBay Listing (http://www.ebay.com/itm/ALEMBIC-SERIES-II-MAPLE-BURL-TRIPLE-OMEGA-BASS-AWESOME-/150652696263?pt=Guitar_Accessories&hash=item231399b6c7)

I have a feeling this auction is a scam, but I could use some verification from other users.  I ran a google search and found the same bass mentioned in the Alembic Club archives from 2005-2006, so even if this legit, it's certainly not BRAND NEW as stated in the auction.

Looks legit to me.  It doesn't show any of the typical scam signs.

That one has been up for sale a number of times over the past few years. I wonder why it has not sold?

Pretty high $$ for someone to just pay it outright without even touching the bass.  The seller appears to only want to communicate via eBay.  I've asked for the serial number so I can run it by Mica.  We'll see what happens.

Yep, I've seen this bass (with the same pictures every time) for sale countless times over the years.  Just the sheer number of times it's been listed gives me the impression it's not legit... hopefully I'm wrong though.
It sure is beautiful.
