Title: Need to fly?

Just came across this (http://www.mandoweb.com/Instruments/Voyage-Air-VAOM-02+Transit+Series/2697) on the Mandolin Bros. website.  Wild idea; gots to wonder how it sounds.

When you scroll down, and then you see the pictures for the first time, the body reacts like it would when seeing a picture of an Alembic with the peghead broken off.

That looks like the type of upright Stanley using when I saw him with Hiromi here in Raleigh about a year ago.

Wayne; it's interesting how the neck attaches with one screw, and that the screw also adjusts the action.  It's hard to imagine that it makes for a tight fit; my guess is that a lot of energy would be lost at the neck/body joint.  However that may be a trade off worth considering for someone who wants an upright bass that travels easily.
