Title: Incorrect Description of Stanley Clarke Signature on eBay
Post by: otis on May 01, 2012, 06:31:47 PM
This is incorrect:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Alembic-Stanley-Clarke-Signature-Deluxe-4-string-bass-/200750711516?pt=Guitar&hash=item2ebdacc2dc (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Alembic-Stanley-Clarke-Signature-Deluxe-4-string-bass-/200750711516?pt=Guitar&hash=item2ebdacc2dc)

This is a Signature Standard with way too high of a starting price.

Anniversary electronics, and 3 extra toggles - could be one for leds, and a set of bass and treble quick change tone switches.

Interestingly, the build card suggests signature electronics (pan) with the addition of the bass and treble boost/cut switches.  But the pictures do show a pickup selector switch.

I'm guessing that the Keith who played with Fiona Apple mentioned in the listing is Keith Lowe.

Here (http://a1.ec-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/12/05050b63b68d6c7b8708fa875ed18e6c/l.jpg) is a picture of Keith Lowe on stage; and behind him on a stand is a Quilted Maple SC.  Not the one in the listing, which the listing says the owner got direct from Alembic, but one that does appear to have extra switches.
