Hello, I am new to Alembic products and basses. I have spent quite a lot of time with acoustic, acoustic/electric, and I have a few solid body electrics.

I am a fan of all types of music except Rap and Disco. I am no virtuoso, but am a highly motivated player.

Alembic became my choice for a bass based on its long-standing excellent reputation for quality, attention  to detail , and playability.  I tried to fall in love with Fender Precision and Jazz basses, but couldn't!  Although, I did purchase a Fender Mustang for my Grandson.  Besides, I really like nice things and it seems that Alembic basses are at the top of the heap.

I look forward to following the forum.

Scott

Thanks, Terry.

I forgot to mention that I jumped into Alembic kind of thoroughly.  I got an Essence 4 30.75 scale and a Signature Standard  5 string with the 34 scale.

Welcome Scott,  I think that a 30.75 Essence might be a bit of a rare bird,  Pics please, of both, of course...

I only have an IPad with photos in that.  I don't have a clue how to download them.  They are still up in Will Gunn's website, though.

My Son is learning to play guitar, yet he has Cerebral Palsy and I thought the short scale would allow him to noodle around some.
