I'm thinking about getting one of these, but I'm afraid that if doesn't work out, would it be possible to sell considering that a 36 scale is not too populer.

Many people who play extended range instruments prefer the extra long scale in order to get tension on the B. The thing about Alembics is that (unless you're the original owner) you can USUALLY get your money back (or better) on resale. Just be careful that you don't pay too much to start with.

She's beautiful. What is that wood? Weight might turn out to be just as much a challenge as the scale length. Sitting down without a strap might be your ticket to Nirvana.

Spalted Maple isn't it???

It's maybe worth pointing out that whilst it's certainly a Rogue body, the electronics look to be the Epic/Orion package that 'should' bring the price down accordingly.

I'm guessing Spalted Maple as well, although there does appear to be a lot of color; very nice top.

The figuring looks too regular for spalted; I'm thinking a subdued flatsawn zebrawood.

Looks like spalted birch to me...

It's Spalted Something for sure.
Could be Maple, Beech, or Birch. It's impossible to tell from a picture with absolute certainty. But if I were pressed for an educated guess, I'd lean more toward Birch for the native color of the wood, and the character of the flaminess.
If it turned out to Maple, I would not be entirely surprised though - wood is wicked that way.
As for the scale length, we sure don't make a ton of 36 scale basses, so it probably limits the available audience. But then again, since we don't make that many, it might have a higher demand for those seeking that particular feature. I'm really not much help in that area, sorry.

She's a beaut that's for sure. I passed on it considering the uncertainty of scale. How much would these run used?
