Just listed today in the Bass Gallery in Camden, London UK. Looks like the sort of thing a certain jazzyvee might fancy! http://www.thebassgallery.com/product_details.cfm?ID=2732&type=Bass%20Guitar (http://www.thebassgallery.com/product_details.cfm?ID=2732&type=Bass%20Guitar)

Nah, Clarkybass that classic body style is not for me. The only older styles i reallyI like are #12, and Stanley Clarke style and exploiter.
I hope it finds a home though. Probably no point posting it on basschat uk as I sense a strong anti alembic vibe there. ;-)

I don't think there's an anti Alembic vibe per se on BassChat UK (one of the two site owners, Kiwi, has an Alembic Series bass and loves it), its just they are quite rare in the UK and most people have never seen or played one. Couple that with the high prices and thats why there is indifference. Wal are popular but they are UK made and not so rare, hence the excitement every time one of those pops up for sale.

well this would definitely be for you - if it were priced a great deal less http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ALEMBIC-Series-I-Short-Scale-Birdseye-Maple-4-String-SHOWROOM-/261330478984?pt=Gitarren&hash=item3cd882a788 (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ALEMBIC-Series-I-Short-Scale-Birdseye-Maple-4-String-SHOWROOM-/261330478984?pt=Gitarren&hash=item3cd882a788)

Now you are talking my language. The neck pickup is right up to the truss rod cover so will have a heavier and warmer bass emphasis just like my current series 1 bass. Lovely but pricey though.
