Post by: keith_h on June 11, 2014, 05:37:25 PM: It seem legitimate to me. It is not uncommon for the serial number to be worn off when they are on the end of the fretboard. I don't know if the owner tried taking a rubbing but it might show more than you can see with the naked eye.

I've been looking for a short to medium scale series bass for a long time and for some reason this one just doesn't speak to me. Maybe it's the work that would need to be done on it, the wood recipe or whatever, but for what I assume the buyer is looking to get, and based on other series basses that are on the market I'd personally pass on this one.
