Here's an odd one:

Not sure how these are wired... maybe like Epic/Orion?

That's been up for quite a while. Looks like he lowered the price by $300 recently.
-
I sent the seller a message this morning, asking about what controls these have. I had read about the Bullshark Alembics, so I knew it was legit, but I don't recall ever reading what electronics were in them.
Inasmuch as my sense of style is a bit of a highwire act... even this is a radical departure from what usually appeals to my often weird tastes. That said, if it was a five-string, I'd buy it right now! (the notion of BEAD tuning is already floating to the top) =)

I always wondered why aluminum wasn't used for fretless boards : / I heard that homemade aluminum bass on YouTube and I thought it'd rock if it only tapered like a real bass neck.....
Just sayin'.
-
been wondering, how in the world did they put frets into an aluminum fingerboard? Better yet, how does one go about re-fretting a bass with an aluminum fingerboard?
-
Seller posted pictures of the electronics. Looks like Volume/Pan/Filter x 2, like Signature without Q switches.
-
That's the Orion/Epic/Excel setup, Volume, Pan, bass and treble ;-)
-
Figured you'd know Flip! Thanks!

Aluminum fretless necks are pretty freakin' cool. John McVies Alembic is a aluminum fretless, otherwise known as continuously fretted

I have heard Rumours (sorry... I *had* to!) that the continuously fretted Alembic has a stainless steel fingerboard that had been specially treated. Never knew exactly what that meant...
That's a great picture of that bass pasewark! I have a particular interest in borrowing a few lines from the build sheet on that one.
I wonder if there's any record of how many Alembic-equipped Bullsharks there are?

We sold them 50 sets of electronics. So I'm guess less than or equal to 50.
