It's a Hyak and the price is a little more than double its value. Still a sweet guitar, though.

Nice Quilted maple top !
But PU selector(3way SW) is replaced parts and Q SWs are missing, so the guitar is needed repair work.
(I think it is passive, no active preamp.)

Yes, I bet that guitar has had it's electronics removed. Hopefully they are still with the instrument. They can be repaired. A friend of mine completely overhauled my Hyak's electronics. He said the electronics are no biggie, but some of the components are tough to get. He replaced them with similar valued components. If someone here snags this guitar, my buddy can make the electronics.
I am still on the lookout for a medium scale Hyak bass with this body style. It probably don't exist.

I'd like to briefly hijack this thread to thank Eiji and Michael... the combined Alembic knowledge of these two rivals that of She-who-run-da'-show. =)
Seriously, I really look forward to you guys weighing in on the vintage ones. Now back to the Hyak...
