That unit is in sad shape , This is what it looks like in correct shape
Here is my nice SF-2 & nice IN-2 , this is how they look in proper form . The IN-2 unit is the top one .
Enzo , Thanks for posting this .

Hey Wolf,
I does look like it's been around the block a few times.
Needs new switches and God knows what else.
Does the transformer have a 240v tap? I ask as you have one
albeit invisible in your previous thread entry.
I feel that this is a little pricey. I would expect to pay around that ball-park for a new one from the factory.
It's way out of my price range at the moment
It's ironic how one pops up but I am in now way capable of funding it.

Silly double post thingy!

I meant for this image to post in my post 4111 above. The IN-2 is the unit above the SF-2 in the my rack.

Slawie , In the two IN-2 's that I have seen internally there is not access to a power transformer unlike a DS-5/R unit because the electronics for the power secction in both my IN-2 units are encapsulate regulated power supplies. Therefore it is not posible to modify the input voltage tap on the encapsulated power supply unit.
The pricing for the unit on ebay is not reasonable BECAUSE of the external physical condition of that unit in my opinion.

Thanks mate I thought as much just by the look of it.
Way too much work to do to it including the power supply module
replacement plus switches and anything else that would be
NFG (non-functioning goods)
Oh I wish Alembic would get a pre-production prototype together
for me to Beta test ;)
I live in hope!
Thanks for your evaluation

I wonder if this was some kind of prototype, has a replacement faceplate, or just lost the finish. Weird. I'd pay about $250 for it.
-
I see it sold for 599,
Did anyone here pick it up?
-
I was watching that one only as it is 110v not good for me.
In Oz dollars it went for $808.96
I did not pick it up the thing looks pretty sad
I am also wondering if someone here snagged it.
Maybe you Wolf. You seem to have cornered the World IN-2 market ;)
BTW Wolf I will be in the Bay Area after the 21st of July
Lunch and a shoe?

Slawie , I did not grab this IN-2 . Lunch was indeed mentioned . That would be Kool while you are in the area !

Slawie:
Perhaps a mini gathering?
Bill, tgo

Mini gathering would be great! Count me in.
Being an outsider watching all the gathering posts makes me green with envy.
I am bringing in my Series for some TLC from Ron.
I have made a mess of the sound from my jiggery-pokery trying to get the bass to sound as it should after a replacement of Q switch on the bass signal.
Trying to get a hold of the factory for some logistics information regarding getting my bass back to me post its hospitalization.
I will send you guys an email off of this forum.

Are new IN-2 boxes still in the works?
-
My question is, what do you all use the IN-2 for?
