I now own this bass in 2022. It's my first Alembic that has an ash body. I never knew all Excels are ash with pao ferro fretboards.

This is now my favorite bass. It sounds and plays how I like. I thiunk the Excel is now my all time favorite model.

Great catch and a good one for your collection. I wonder if that pickup is a fat boy?
