Title: Series I guitar in Australia
Post by: jazzyvee on January 23, 2016, 04:35:07 AM
This guitar has appeared on eBay. My guess is its had a whammy bar fitted at some point in the past and later removed and and attempt has been made to restore it to something like it's original condition. There doesn't look to be a tone block under the bridge either.  No picture of the electronics cavity or comment on whether the original electronics are still in the guitar so that question would need to be asked if you were interested.

The extra plate on the back sure isn't stock.  It looks like this had a Fender-type tremelo that cut all the way through the body and rear-loaded.

Bill, tgo

My thoughts exactly, Bill. Fender style tremolo with a patch job. Such a shame.
