Just seen this on eBay. This might be of interest to someone here. Unfortunately it doesn't mention anything about the electronics so if you are interested you need to find out if the electronics are active alembic inside.

Looks like this guitar has come back up for sale again.

I'd have a couple of concerns about this listing. Why are there no decent pics of the front of the guitar? And the price is quite cheap even if it was stock without the Alembic upgrade. I've sent a request to the seller for more pics and info on the Alembic guts.

It screams PartsCaster really loud...

At first I too thought partscaster. Then I did a little research and discovered that Fender made a Standard Strat in 1983 & 1984 that had two knobs only, the input jack where the third knob usually is, (no recessed jack on top), and an internal tremolo that did not have the usual back plate - all attributes that this guitar apparently shares. I haven't heard back from the seller yet.

I heard back from the seller. I had asked:
1. Does it have Alembic electronics?
2. Does it have a battery?
3. Can I get some pics that clearly show the front of the guitar?
The response to questions 1 & 2 is that I should ask Alembic!
The seller has also ignored my request for more pics, instead just referring me to the eBay ad.
Strange, with red flags waving.
