Cool!  I have never been to his show!
Anyone planning to go to the Atlanta show?

I have been to a Stanley show.  I urge everyone here to go too.  But bring the earplugs!  It was by far the LOUDEST show I have seen.  The time I saw him was maybe 10 or so years ago.  Maybe less.  Anyway, he was playing through what looked like a wall of MusicMan amplifiers.  The sound coming off the stage was every bit as loud as what was coming out of the mains. It was in a small music club here in New Orleans.  It was a good show, and he had another bass player with him.  Sometimes the other bassist would hold the groove while Stanley just wailed.  Towards the end of the show, local bass players were coming out of the audience, coming up on stage and Stanley was trading licks with them!  He had the infamous brown bass with him. It was pretty cool.  I did not stay for the whole show, but what I saw was great.
