It certainly was more work than playing a single gig. My band Glass has just finished it's first studio album in 27 years! Those here interested in seeing the Press Release for it (there are a couple pictures of my Alembic and me here as it was used in a solo piece and is being featured in the CD liner notes) can go here:

I want to thank all of you for helping me get my Alembic back to recording spec. You advice - and the great work done at Alembic on it - all made it possible for me to use it exclusively on this album.

Jeff, that's great news. I'll be on the lookout for the album, the description of the music sounds very interesting. Typically Alembic to be combined with chanting Buddhist monks, must have been a true spiritual jamming experience, although I doubt you had some real life monks with you in the studio. Or did you?

When does the world tour start? Keep us all posted so we can get the disc when it hits the streets.

Hey TM and Bob:
I'll let all my Alembic Bros know ever detail as they emerge. The label hasn't given us an exact release date yet but I'll keep you all informed. Even if the music - which is in the Progessive rock vein doesn't appeal to you I *KNOW* you guys are going to LOVE the sound of the Alembic! It was *amazing*. . you listen to the solo with headphones and you're in Series I Heaven(-;
Jeff
p.s. And no, the monks weren't with me(-; I used a sample I'd collected along the way. . .they were a last minute inspiration. You guys will have to let me know what you think. . .Thanks for replying!
