Title: DS-5 Small power supplies - preorder
Post by: mica on September 25, 2010, 02:16:47 PM: Sorry that my email program ate the list I collected last year for announcements.

I am so pleased to announce that the DS-5 power supply project is a go! The chassis will be the same extruded aluminum as they were originally. These are rugged little guys. The only difference is the power cable, which will be modular.

Deliveries should start mid-December. The price is $525 (less than the rackmounted one). Preorder price is $425 including shipping in the US. Drop me an email with DS-5 preorder in the subject line and include your shipping address and phone number. We'll call you next week to confirm your preorder and collect credit card details for payment.

I know those who travel will appreciate the small size, and they are handy for a quick trip when you don't want to lug your whole rack around.

Post by: mica on December 16, 2010, 03:39:18 PM: Looks like I was optimistic on delivery (what's new?) and it will be about a month more. Waiting on the transformers now. They didn't get mine wound before their holiday shut down

I've got a list of names, including the ones I haven't contacted yet. My first run still has about 20 units left in it.
