Back after a brief interlude.
We're playing at Scruffy Murphy's in Edinburgh this friday then Saturday 19th July we will be entertaining a bunch of balding middle aged stockbrokers at the Stirlingshire Bikers rally.
We'll be taking another break through August, reconvening on the 27th for our Drummer's pre-nuptual bash at Whistlebinkies in edinburgh. I've been told we're also playing a short set at his wedding on the 29th.
Hopefully we'll get Photos and recordings at some of these. For further details and more gigs, visit our website (http://www.bigtuna.co.uk).

george. If you have a mate with a motorbike, why not try to get to the bikers rally. It's being held at the Carron bridge hotel (http://www.carronbridgehotel.co.uk/), not far outside Denny.

Interesting and fun gig. The bikers weren't as aggressive as we were expecting. However, out of the 150 or so attending only around 60 came into the marquee to watch and dance. The rest stayed in the hotel lounge to keep warm (and get drunk).
Quite a scary set up. they were running everything from a single extension from a generator which was fine until the start of the 3rd set when we blew the fuses - coincidentally right at the end of sweet child of mine when I stomp the turbo button on the eden - adds 10 Db!. luckily it only took 5 minutes to get up and running again but they insisted we play several encores and made Bill play a drum solo. Meant that I didn't leave Carronbridge until 2 so I broke every speedlimit between there and Edinburgh to get to work on time.
Graeme.
p.s. let me know when you're getting together with John (white cloud) and I'll try to get across. Also, are you interested in coming down to Manchester on the 9th November for Bass Day?

It was a superb night - fantastic sound both on and off stage for a change and the crowd were very enthusiastic - halped by having alot of fans from Canada who were over for Bill's( the drummer) wedding the following Friday. We played a very short set at the wedding so I'll post a pic or 2 from then once i get them.
Next Gig is at Scruffy Murphy's in edinburgh next friday 12th Sept from around 9.30pm.

Friday coming We'll be at The Corner Music Bar in Dunfermline (home of the awesome Nazareth). It's a new venue for us so the gig should be interesting.
Incidentally the tenant above Scruffy Murphy's threatened to phone the police last friday when we were 3 songs from the end. What a way to put a downer on the night and what kind of idiot lives above a city centre pub expecting peace and quiet?

Hi graeme
last night, I played in Kilsyth at a new venue called the Broch. It's a pub that has a big play area--bigger than BTW.
As it was new to me, I didn't want to take the Series, or the P bass for that matter, just in case.
I took my beloved Curbow .Sound was good, until I noticed that for some reason, the crossover frequencies were all wrong.
Changed them, and the sound was stunning!
Huge bottom, and an Alembic like top end. It sounded just like Whit Cloud's bass in the Youtube snippet (His new Prometeus).
I think the Alembic wouls have been awesome with this new setting so, maybe next time, as it's not a rough neck dive.

This friday we're back at Scruffy Murphy's i Edinburgh. The last gig at the corner music bar was a bit of a downer - no more than 10 people in a bar supposedly promoting live music. Our drummer has made pretty sure we'll not be playing there again in his rant on our front page (http://www.bigtuna.co.uk/).

An excellent night was had by all. For a change, PJs was packed out and the dancefloor was never less than half full - I love it when the audience are enjoying our playing. Unfortunately I broke the E string on the signature about 5 songs from the end so I had to finish the night playing some hard rock numbers on my fretless (in near dark conditions - wish I'd ordered her with LEDs) but I don't think anyone noticed. We also found out last night that they think they've booked us for the 2nd January - we didn't know!
Next gig is in aid of a children's charity - Kingdom kids - on the 28th December at Kitty's in Kirkcaldy. It's only an hour for each of 8 bands but it should lead to us getting more gigs for that pub chain.

This coming sunday, 28th December we're the opening band for a charity event at Kitty's bar in Kirkcaldy called Kingdom Kids run by the local radio station. We kick off proceedings with a 1 hour set around 7.30pm and the bands carry on until about 1am. All proceedings go to the aforementioned charity.
Then on Friday 2nd January we're back at PJ Molloys in Dunfermline helping the revellers carry on bringing in the New Year.

Here (finally) are a couple of clips of our last but one gig at PJ molloys..
sweet child of mine (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=9pCn3aG8a74) - the sound cuts off near the end and the vid isn't quite sync'd up tothe recording from the Zoom H2 but you get the idea.
monster (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=_SzyvbwA7tQ&feature=channel) again not quite sync'd up properly - both played on my Sgnature deluxe.

The first vid is no longer there.
In the second, that's a nice little wah pedal part at the stop break!

Thanks Dave. I'll find out what's happened to the first link.
My break is played through a combination of chorus and micro Q-tron.

That should be the link fixed now and here's another link to the boys are back in town (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=3mrVApL7jdA)
