I'll be playing my Further burl maple guitar with my band Avalon Rising at the Pinole Summer Sounds Outdoor Concert series on July 15th starting at 8 pm. On the next night, we play at Rooster's Roadhouse in Alameda. I love my Alembic guitar... Look for us on Facebook and U Tube.(http://club.alembic.com/Images/65124/82198.jpg)

Hello and Welcome!

Kristoph:
Welcome to the club. Cool video on your band's site. I love the rocked-out lead in the middle of the Celtic tune! And the guys wear dresses too! lol! I'd love to catch your Alameda gig (I live in Alameda), but right now I'm scheduled to be in trial in San Luis Obispo that week. Of course these things have a way of getting postponed at the last minute, so if I'm in town I'll come check you guys out. Don'tcha love the Further! Mine is my #1 guitar.

Hi Kristoph; welcome to the board! Beautiful guitar!

Listening to some of your soundclips (http://www.flowinglass.com/avalon/soundclips.html); very nice! I especially like the instrumental Sidhe Set. And The Great Selkie is beautiful.

Hey thanks! Very kind. I'm new to posting here, thanks for the welcome. Definitely my number one guitar. I'm a 12 string freak, so one day... I'm still working on getting my mesa boogie to interact with my Further. Old amp, and I keep turning my guitar up past the point the amp can take. But I love my amp, so I'm gonna work it out. I'm planning to lower the volume of my guitar output, as soon as I understand how to... Hopefully by the time my band plays these shows...

Here (http://www.alembic.com/info/manual_tribute.html target=_blank)'s the manual for the Tribute and Further electronics.
With the regular Alembic electronics, you would find two trimpots in the control cavity that control the output gain, but it may well be different here due to the built-in effects loop.
By the way, very nice Further! Looking forward to those soundclips.

Kristoph:
I was a Boogie guy for almost 20 years. Then I got my first Alembic and found that it seems to like Fenders more than Boogies. My current main rig is a Pritchard, which also seems to get along very nicely with the Alembics. By the way, if you'd like to check out an Alembic 12 string and you're near Alameda, you're welcome to come by and try out Big Irv (http://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=8362).

I *almost* have the Boogie working, I just get excited and turn my guitar up too much, and the amp starts clipping. But usually I love the tone. I'd love to check out your 12 string Ibpesq... Looks beautiful. I looked through the Alembic pics, and noticed a 12, It must have been yours. 12 string lust...
