My cover band from the early 80's will be doing a reunion/benefit show at the 60's are 50 festival on July 31st. This will occur with the benefit of a grand total of 2 rehearsals!!! Wish us luck and let's hope that the alcohol is running free at the time of our performance.

Have lots of fun and a great gig Mike!

Watch the alcohol flow, it has a tendency to create the illusion that one is playing better than they think! Break a leg!

I hope that you have a great time Mike and that it all turns out to your highest expectations and even more . A few weeks ago I had a similar experience and was asked to do a gig with a bunch of Cats that I used to play with in the 1970's .We all went to the same High School. We also only had 2 rehearsals and with out the drummer, who only was able to show up at the gig because of his travel time and location . Our Gig ended up a success , I played my Alembic Essence and got nothing but compliments on the sound of the Bass.It felt awesome to gig with theses guys again .

Wow; the sixties are fifty. I hadn't thought of it that way before.

The gig is done. I spent most of the set looking for something to hide behind; however, when I watched/listened to the video... I gotta say that it wasn't too shabby!!! Whenever we veered off the path we managed to either do it together or get back on a common course within a beat or two. So all the mistakes I was hearing while playing truly didn't come across to the audience. I guess that's how those Jam Bands do it?!?! The highlight for me was Out on the Tiles/Good Times Bad Times. I loves me some Led Zeppelin.

I loves me some Led Zeppelin - Catch Adam with Zoso, a must see act!

There's video in the sense that a video camera was running. We were supposed to go on at 8PM, but the show was running long and they really didn't have adequate lighting for a night-time show (and there were 2 acts after us!!!). As such, the video is pretty much useless (except for its audio). My idea was to edit the video from a couple of different cameras and mix in the audio from a Zoom H4. But the darkness and failure to press the Record button on the H4 laid waste to all my plans!!!

Glad you had a good night, Mike. Yeah, those pesky record buttons will surprise you by hiding when you need them to shout out and volunteer TURN ME ON! I lost half the first song on Saturday at Mad Maggies, and the recorder was sitting right there on my amp... Do-oh!
