Title: Clips from a recent show in Texas
Post by: smuprof on January 16, 2011, 08:07:48 PM
I'm not sure there's a better place to post past gigs, but this is the praise band I play with in Dallas.  We just finished up the DVD/CD set from this February concert.  You'll see my MK5 Standard and my old F2-B in a couple of spots, and if you look behind the guitarist, the headstock of my Exploiter.  Youtube audio's not the greatest, but you get the idea . . .

Hey John, very nice. When do they let you solo?
Who's your sax player? I think I know him, but am striking out on his name. . .  Bjorkland?

Hey Mike - That's it - Bill Bjorkland.  Unfortunately, he recently got transferred to Washington with Raytheon I believe, so we are sans horns for the time being.

Bill! Ugh, He used to work at the same Raytheon campus, too. Until I was  laid off, that is.
So, you take the Exploiter as a back up?

Man, That was slammin'!It's nothing that I like more than to hear some good worship music whether it's gospel, Contemporary or traditional!
Nice 5 string too, is it a series? Let's us see your bass up close and personal! More Bass photos! Please!

Man that's a great praise band. Love the songs and their delivery.
Beautiful bass. My dad was a Baptist minister as well as a outrageous keyboardist so I got my start on bass at his church. One of the church members once told me that when I get to heaven I'd have a harp made of gold. My reply was that would be nice, but I think I'll just stick with my Alembic.
Is that the church where your band usually plays. I work for Delta Airlines, so flying is free. I'd love to come hear you guys live.
