(I'm a bit behind, but catching up.)

Wow!!!!

It occurs to me that this guitar will be a bit difficult to play what with resting your arm on all those sharp ridges.

The combination of the quilt and tint (and artistry) are stunning.

mica

Yes indeed, you've got locking tuners, and they are even on the guitar.   Now we play the waiting game for pickups and the late addition truss rod cover, but you can see how patient your machine is being:

These must be 2 of your pickups:

But when I wiped them off (not very well), I think the top one is actually the middle pickup judging from the grain. I didn't want to go into the spray booth to see other one since Bob was painting not too long ago.  Good stuff!

Bill,

The vertical grain in those coco bolo PU covers is really going to look sweet with the neck lams. Nicely done!

its a keeper billy and i need to eat my words on the coco covers
have you named it?
you should only play happy notes on this beauty
ps- gonna sell off your excessive inventory?
lol

As for a name, I've been mulling world justice and peace for the three front inlays, top to bottom.  Maybe Woody, since the quote inlaid around the peace sign is the descendent of This Machine Kills Facists, the quote Woody Guthrie wrote on his guitar.  Or perhaps The Elephant because elephants have a looooonnnnggg gestation period (lol).  Or The Waiter (not because it serves food).  I'm certainly open to suggestions.

As for the excessive inventory, have you been talking to my wife?   You buyin'?

Bill,

Those coco covers shore do look purdy.

Since I'll be waiting longer than you, you can't actually have this name, but I've taken to calling my bass Godot.

*snicker*

Bradley:

Thanks for the morning laugh.  Somewhere Mr. Beckett is undoubtedly smiling.

I believe the three of us are in the same graduating class! Word on the street is that I'll have Big Stubby home in the next week or so.

How about YAG?

Yet another guitar.

I hear that's what his wife is calling it anyway.

Bill,

Could you please take a family photo of all your guitars?  Next time I feel the need to buy a bass, then I can say, well, look at the bright side, honey, at least I'm not this guy.

Actually, the most common way in which I have been referring to it when it comes up in conversation is as the no, it's still not finished guitar, or my guitar that lives in Santa Rosa.  I can't wait to have the problem of coming up with a new name.  Howzabout the Further?  As for pics, I don't have nearly enough stands, the instruments are mostly split between home and studio with two currently at the mothership, one at one luthier's and another at another luthier's.  I'm afraid if I got them all together at once it would push my wife over the edge.  As they say: out of site, out of mind.  lol
