I don't think a Little Darling would be suitable for a bass. It's sooooooooo small.

We have not made a Darling bass in a 5-string, would have to mock it up to see.

I didn't remember noticing this thread before Adriaan moved it to the Dreaming section. Darling pattern might make a medium-scale 5-string bass, but I would guess balance would be a bit off. Little Darling as Mica says, is teeny-tiny. Here was mine next to a medium-scale 5-string bass. Even a Martin 00-21 is bigger.
