Here is the first Little Darling ever made alongside some friends. The bottom two are the natural evolution of the design and incorporate my favorite features from the first three...including the wonderful curved horns that I first saw on a custom Alembic bass from the 70's.

I've been curious what playing on the Darling high frets is like with the modern design where the body sticks out and meets the neck? It looks like it might block your thumb making it difficult to do something technical on those frets above the neck? The guitar in the middle looks to have full access in that area. Is there a name for that body style? Beautiful collection! I'm drooling over them.

The Little Darling definitely has the more restricted access of all four designs, but I've never had any issues. Not like I'm doing lightning fast runs on the D,A, and E strings.  

As you pointed out, the middle guitar offers the easiest access to all frets on all strings. The other guitars fall somewhere in the middle. The bottom two are my main gigging guitars. The left is a backup for the right. No names for the body styles. Just designs Alembic and I came up with over the years. The bottom two are my favorite shapes of all.
