For the past couple of months, I've been playing around with Superfilter and Osiris Philter in my pedal board.

I find myself using the Low Pass filter on my neck and the High Pass filter on my bridge most of the time with great results.

It makes wonder whether the bridge filter on Series I instruments could be converted to a High Pass filter without serious brain surgery. Do any of the technically inclined folks here have wisdom to share?

That's an interesting idea, but I would guess that like everything with Series electronics it might not be straight forward.

I'm pretty sure it would require a swapping resistors and capacitors on the PF-6, but you never know...

Would you be adjusting the HPF much during play? If not then I'd add a HPF further down the signal path, so you get to have both, and not mess with any mods.

I run mono into the Genzler preamp which has an adjustable HPF, and the HPF works great for shapng the lows.

Hey David, here's a good Sunday afternoon read. This bass has a SuperFilter onboard... along with a few more tricks. It's switchable from High/Low/Band-pass. (page 4)

If you can dream it, they can probably do it.
