Another new Alembic day has come! Danobass was kind enough to sell me his custom Excel fretless. The bass is absolutely beautiful. Sounds amazing and in fantastic condition for an almost 20 year old instrument.

Here is the FTC thread for those interested. https://club.alembicguitars.com/factory-to-customer/danno-s-fretless-5-string-excel/msg85666/#msg85666

Switched out the collet to hat knobs cause it looks better to me.

Nice Bass  8)
Never owned an Excel but I played a fellow bassplayers's Excel 5 with the single pick up. I totally loved it! It might be the most affordable Alembic model but its a very special bass. Unfortunately they rarely show up used on this side of the pond.

Thank you, Greg. I have loved every transaction with club members. Dannobass makes everything right and smooth like the rest of the members I have made trades with. The bass is KILLER! Hopefully will hold me over until the six string excel is finished.

Glad you; are enjoying it Sir. I just found the build sheet and will mail it to you shortly.  I have a lot of instruments for sale both basses and guitars if anyone is looking to satisfy their GAS.

Really like the Excel body. What do the 4 mini switches do?

@Barend this one might suit you if Dannobasso is in mind to sell. Though I wonder how that body style would feel playing it seated

Lovely bass.

Thanks! Would love to own a 6-string Alembic with smaller string spacing one day. But I am not too fond of the shape this model. Love the Omega cut but not so much the small upper body.

Thank you, Daniel! You are one of the reasons club members have a reputation for making good sales!

The bass had Eruopa/Rogue electronics. 2 eq switchs, 1 Q switch and 1 for the LED lights.

Thanks. That is special. Never saw an Excel with these electronics. Most have only treble/bass and pan knob, no filter and Q.
